How Do I prepare for my photo shoot

There are several practices to take while preparing for your photo shoot. At times modeling can become strenuous on the body due to posing. Children should be coached ahead of time to prepare them for the longevity and outdoor environment. Below is a list of suggestions to help your family during your photo shoot.

  1. Practice good hygiene; shower, comb hair, groom beards, and wash nails. It is important to stray from wearing heavy makeup or picking at the face. Get a good nights sleep the day before in case you may be walking.
  2. Eat a light breakfast, lunch or dinner to refrain from tiredness or bloating.
  3. Arrive on time to your session. It is important to be aware of the date, time, and also to be mindful that anything may happen on the way to your session that may hinder you from arriving on time.
  4. Plan locations and know where you are going. GPS the location ahead of time and be mindful of the time of day; parking fees apply to many parks and sometimes parking locations.
  5. Coordinate your wardrobes with your session mates. Comfortable outfits with contrasting colors, like blue and yellow, or white and black work best when photographing. Stripes do not sit well with the camera and also be mindful of undergarments under clothes and accessories that may take facial focus away. Please follow the home page link for wardrobe advice.
  6. Have two location options available in case there may be too many people, a popup event, or unpredictable weather.
  7. Bring necessities to your shoot; necessary medication, umbrellas, water, snacks and or whatever is needed to loosen up the hubby and kiddos. Please bring a leash and treats for any animals.
  8. Read your contract fully and make yourself aware of the conditions listed in your contract.
  9. I strive to capture natural photos, so there is no need to be tense. Natural is best and images turn out great!
  10. Know your delivery time per the contract. Reach out to your photographer for any questions or concerns you may have. If you are unsatisfied with any editing done to you images, please notify your photographer immediate so the images can be re-edited to your taste.

*Additional, please be aware that I may physically touch, guide, or move you or your family for posing purposes. If you are not okay with this, please let me know ahead of time*
